Bookmark types
Bkmark supports four distinct bookmark types, each designed for a different kind of content.- Link

A link bookmark saves any web URL. When you create one, Bkmark automatically fetches the page title, description, and a preview image so you don’t have to fill anything in manually.Create a link bookmark
Paste the URL
Type or paste the full URL into the URL field. Bkmark fetches the page metadata in the background.
Add optional details
Override the auto-fetched title or description if you want, then assign tags and groups.
Bulk operations
When you need to organize, move, or clean up many bookmarks at once, bulk operations let you act on up to 500 bookmarks in a single action.Select bookmarks
Check the checkbox on any bookmark card to enter selection mode. Continue checking items, or use Select All to grab everything on the current page.
Choose an action
With items selected, the bulk-action toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen. Pick the action you want.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tag | Adds one or more tags to all selected bookmarks |
| Move | Assigns selected bookmarks to one or more groups |
| Archive | Archives all selected bookmarks |
| Favorite | Marks all selected bookmarks as favorites |
| Delete | Moves all selected bookmarks to trash (soft delete) |
| Permanent delete | Deletes all selected bookmarks forever — no recovery |
| Export | Exports all selected bookmarks to a downloadable file |
Favorites
Marking a bookmark as a favorite pins it to your Favorites view so you can reach it instantly without searching. To favorite a single bookmark, hover over its card and click the star icon. Click again to unfavorite. You can also favorite in bulk — select multiple bookmarks and choose Favorite from the bulk-action toolbar.Reading list & unread status
Any bookmark can be added to your reading list by marking it as unread. This is useful when you save something you want to come back to but don’t have time to read right now.- Mark as unread: Open the bookmark’s action menu (the
···icon) and select Mark as unread. - Mark as read: Open the same menu and select Mark as read, or open the bookmark — Bkmark can optionally auto-mark it as read when you visit the URL.
- Filter your reading list: Use the Unread filter in the sidebar to see only bookmarks you haven’t read yet.
Trash & restore
Deleting a bookmark moves it to the Trash rather than removing it immediately. This gives you a safety net if you delete something by mistake. Moving to trash
Restoring from trash
Permanently deleting from trash
If you’re sure you no longer need a bookmark, open Trash, find the item, and choose Delete permanently from its action menu. This removes it for good — there is no way to recover it after this step.
Archiving bookmarks
Archiving lets you keep a bookmark in your library without it cluttering your main view. Think of it as a long-term storage shelf.- Archive a bookmark: Open its action menu and click Archive.
- View archived bookmarks: Toggle the Archived filter in the sidebar.
- Unarchive: Open the action menu on any archived bookmark and click Unarchive to bring it back to your active library.
Link health checks (Pro & Team)
Over time, web pages move or disappear — a problem called link rot. On the Pro plan, Bkmark periodically checks your link bookmarks and flags any that return errors (404, 403, server timeouts, etc.). When a broken link is detected, the bookmark is highlighted in your library with a warning badge. You can then update the URL, replace it with an archived version, or delete the bookmark altogether.Link health checks are available on the Pro and Team plans. Upgrade from your account settings if you want automatic broken-link detection across your entire library.
